As I run out of stones, I prepare for the what's next... Over the last year I've learned to cast resin, and I'd like my public art treasures to be a little more specific, a little more narrative. The Forest Spirits are the next evolution; both a treasure and an oddity. The woods are watching...
magic pebbles
Each stone is painted in color, glitter and glow paint (oh yes, they glow) and individually numbered. I leave them hidden in plain sight, usually in natural spaces like parks, forests, hiking trails, but also in more urban environments as well. Each is a small piece of Elsewhere making its way into the world. It is a tiny altar, a marker of presence and a moment for pause. The process of placing them is a grounding, leaving them is a moment of letting go and of reverence; an offering.
